I’ve never been attracted to bad boys.
They’re just too cocky and shallow for my taste, and I despise the way they act like being wickedly gorgeous and sexy makes them God’s gift to women.
Yeah right.
That may work on others but not me. I’m too smart for that.
But then I start working for Mr. Rochester, and everything changes.
I’ve never met someone more horribly rude and self-centered, and even worse is the way he’s so damn moody. Just being in his presence makes me feel dizzy. One moment he’s viciously cruel, another moment he’s exquisitely charming. One moment he seems invincible and out of my league, another moment he’s broodingly vulnerable and mysteriously tormented.
But the worst part is when we’re alone – when he gazes at me like he wants to eat me, it makes me feel so shamefully wet.
I hate it. I hate HIM, Mr. Rochester, and if he thinks I’m going to let him get away with acting like my lord and master just because he’s my boss and I find him a little bit too sexy for my own good---
You don’t own me, Mr. Rochester, I hiss at him.
But the words only make him smirk, and he whispers into my ear, ‘Not yet’

Note: This is a loose, HOT adaptation of Jane Eyre. It was published previously under one of my pen names.
About this book...
Mr. Rochester is one of the latter. It's now republished under Marian Tee, and I'm really excited to have you guys read it. I loved this book, and there were so many times that I truly wanted to let my MT readers know about it.
HOWEVER, I had to keep it quiet as one of the reasons why I have my other pen name is because it worked as my stress reliever of sorts. While I do love writing as MT, it can also get emotionally draining once in a while. Trust me: if a book of mine made YOU cry buckets, it's the same thing for me during the writing process (probably even worse).
To prevent burnouts, I write my pen-name books in between. These books are hot, fun, angsty but they are NOT tearjerkers (remember, I'm using them to avoid burnouts). Even so, I think they're the kind you'd enjoy re-reading once in a while.
You see, I'm a great believer of writing the books that I (the author) personally would want to read, so if you tend to enjoy most of my work then that simply means WE SHARE THE SAME TASTE IN BOOKS. Ergo, since I enjoyed writing and reading my pen-name books as well, I think you'll like them, too.
TL;DR version: I hope you give Mr. Rochester a try. <3 There's more for Ms. Reed and Mr. Rochester if you want. Just ask! <3
