Let's talk about sequels!

But first things first---

I'm really, really very happy with how well Park and Violet is doing! I know it's too early to tell, but even so I'm glad PNV reached this high in its first week. That's more than enough of me. As always, I was extremely - and I mean EXTREMELY - nervous about the reception of Park and Violet. You don't always have an European guy adopted by Asian parents as a hero, after all.

Reading the reviews, I was actually surprised that some of you still wanted more of these 2 - I thought I tidied things up nicely with their story - I did promise this was a standalone after all. But apparently, I didn't. =P lol. Ah well, I'll take it as a compliment that readers want more of these two.

Now... let's talk about those sequels.

The first thing I can promise you is that we'll have When Fangirls Cry out right after Suit and Fangs - no ifs and buts. After that, we should have the second / last part of Warning: Love Moderately. These were the two books you requested the most after all so we'll definitely get them out.

After that ----

I'm pretty excited about My Secret Professor Boyfriend. I've never had a crush on any teacher - firstly, I studied in an all-girls high school, which meant we also had all-female professors. When I was in college, there wasn't anyone hot or young enough to crush on. BUT I do get to read a lot of steamy teacher-student romances (yes, definitely S.R.'s Gabriel's Inferno is one of my absolute favorites) so I do have a clue about how these, umm, encounters work. And this is a common plot device in manga, too, and you all know how much I love those.

Another sequel in my mind is Dyvian's book in Evren. This one is probably the story I'm struggling the most with because I know where his story is going but the nitty-gritty details aren't that clear yet. All I know is that there's going to be a HUGE confrontation. If you read the excerpt for this then you'll know what that confrontation will be about!

Lastly, we have When I Moan - I'm really, really taking my time with this. I'm very detailed with my Good Girls with Secrets series, so it may be out late this year - maybe just in time for Christmas. Recently, I read the first three books of Terri Anne Browning's The Rocker series. I really, really love that series and I can't help but compare how they are with Em to how my three Grachyov brothers are to Seri. Of course, there are significant differences - my Grachyov brothers aren't quite as wild. They're more the intimidatingly sophisticated type - but I can promise you that they all will have their own stories. Maybe Fyodor, too, coz he's still really hot and he's just in his forties! Haha.

I'm thinking of sharing a scene - not included in the book - just so you can all see how these three spoil Seri. :) Would you be interested in reading that?

Drum roll, please------
Picture
According to my publisher, she will have When Fangirls Lie and A Royal Heartbreak out on the same day. Just like old times! :)

So thank you everyone for waiting this long. As mentioned way way back, I will raffle out advance copies of ARH - one for those who have commented here in my site, one from my subscription list, and one from my Facebook page. I also recently started a contest for ONE ADVANCE COPY FOR WHEN FANGIRLS LIE and you can still join that. Just comment on my post about it!

Just a last few announcements---
  • I lost my list of email addresses of those who want to have the old newsletter issues sent to them. If you are one of them, please give me your email address HERE IN THIS POST. just so I'll have an easier time listing everything.
  • I will be working hard until maybe May 8 or May 9 on these two books, proofing them over and over. Just a heads up in case you guys think I'm gone and died again. =D
  • I will post two new chapters on May for my free fan fic on Vampire Knight at fanfiction.net --- if someone would be kind enough to tell me how to reply to those who posted comments on my fan fic, I would really, really appreciate it. I still have a hard time figuring that site out, which is one major reason why I have a hard time updating my story there.
  • For those who are still wondering about my Sceleri series (Heart's Stain), Park and Violet, Warning: Love Moderately - Part II, My Secret Professor Boyfriend, IT Girls Are Smart, Too --- we will get them all out this year. I'm just figuring out which to write first. Well, okay it is very likely I will jump into MSPB and IGAST next.
  • Sequels to Death Loves Me Not, Drawn, and Evren - we'll get there eventually. Right now I'm prioritizing series or books that need their HEA endings.

So there you go!

A Prize for Readers

3/3/2013

THANK YOU for all those who checked out Warning: Love Moderately, which peaked at #4 in Erotic and cracked the Top 200 for all free titles in Amazon. In exchange, I've decided that THREE DAYS before the release date of A Royal Heartbreak, I'll be giving away advanced copies of the book - one for a randomly selected reader from my Facebook author page and another for a randomly selected name from my subscription list.

I don't have a publication date yet, and I haven't received any cover details from my publisher but I still have my fingers crossed that it will be out before March 20. =D In any case, it won't affect the prizes. Once I get a fixed date for the release, I'll make another announcement regarding the winners!

Thanks again everyone!

My (Werewolf) Prince Commands - Excerpt for Romance / Erotica Novel

11/22/2012

So I've been given the green light to share the excerpt for my first adult romance. You can find its blurb in the My Books page. And without further ado, the excerpt I am so excited to share with you -----

Domenico Moretti gazed down at the young woman walking swiftly towards his building, a twenty-floor skyscraper that was one of the innumerable properties he owned. He was – to put it simply – an extremely wealthy man, yet he knew instinctively that wouldn’t matter to her – just as she would likely be indifferent to the fact that he was one of the most eligible bachelors in the world. A hackneyed phrase to be sure, but one he also deserved. For four years straight he had his lawyers constantly send legal notices to People’s magazine to ensure that he would not make it to its list of Sexiest People Alive. His kind shunned such publicity, for more than the usual reasons.

Then again, Domenico had a feeling he would still have chosen her even if she happened to be a shameless golddigger. Pressed for time as he was, he would settle for just about any woman who could truly accept him for what he was, fur and all.

His eyes strayed back to the woman he was observing.

Her dark hair was so straight it didn’t curl inward to frame her face. It simply shot straight past her shoulders, revealing her ears, which were adorned by a pair of tiny silver hoops. Long lashes made her gray eyes more defined. They dominated her small, heart-shaped face and complemented her rosebud lips. Those lips begged to be kissed and Domenico knew sometime today, they would be. She wore a loose white blouse matched with a black skirt that flared wide from the waist, emphasizing its trimness even while it also served to conceal most of her magnificent legs away from sight.

He supposed she wanted to keep her curves hidden, but if she did then she had failed drastically. Loose as her blouse was, there was no denying how her bountiful breasts strained against its confines, pushing against the thin cotton, a tantalizing hint of her gloriously voluptuous body. Perhaps she wanted to imitate the toothpick figures most women had today? One day, he would tell her she had no reason to aspire for another woman’s figure. Her curves were a rare blessing – made to be shaped by a man’s hands.

His hands.

And nobody else’s.

Misty Wall.

He smiled at the irony – the oxymoron that made up her name. A misty wall? There must be a reason why she was named like that. His kind was superstitious, after all. For them, everything in this world had a meaning to it, a deeper purpose to fulfill.

“Mine,” he couldn’t help whispering, couldn’t help staking a claim.

She stopped just before entering the rotating glass doors of his lobby, raising a hand to shield her eyes from the sun. Then she looked up.

Her gaze was an arrow striking his heart, making him catch his breath, freezing him in place.

It was as if she was looking up at him, sensing his regard even though he was hundreds of feet above her, an unseen figure behind tinted windows. Even this far from her he could feel the tug of sexual attraction, a promise of the intense chemistry that would explode between them once they finally – irrevocably – cross paths.

It was a connection, he thought with satisfaction as she took one last look before disappearing into the building.

Domenico took that as a good omen for the wedding he had already planned, never mind if the bride he had so carefully chosen didn’t know about it yet.

Chapter One

8:12 AM

The crack on the northeast wall in the third floor of Building 2 in Lot A of the project site is five centimeters long. 1 centimeter is equivalent to 100 millimeters. A crack is---

A crack is exactly what’s going to happen to my head if I have to read one more word of the report. The rest of the words printed in a squint-inducing font size swims before my eyes. I take a deep breath.

I can do this, I can do this.

A crack may form a straight horizontal or vertical line on a surface. A crack may also have an irregular line. The crack on the northeast wall in the third floor of Building 2 in Lot A of the project site is believed to have been caused by aging. Aging is a process in which---

The pep talk doesn’t work on my eyelids, and they fall heavily close.

I shake myself awake, forcing my eyes to open. I am going to pry them open with screws if I have to.

God, I’m bored.
