Great start to a new series. Bit short on some details in the beginning as in leading into the new character. Kady,'s character is hilarious...sweet, caring, nervous and none the wiser around the riches. I could see myself in her clumsiness and blushes. But Slade.....the description is my dream come true. He wasn't made out to be as big a monster as some of her previous books and I'm grateful for that. I have read all of the author's books. This one is my new favourite I could read over again.
