I write sweet and steamy rom-coms with tear-jerker happy-ever-afters.

I Can't Teach You How to Write a Novel but...

I can teach you how to write for an online audience. As a professional or even aspiring author - regardless of whether you're aiming for traditional publishing or self-publishing - there will be days when you need to reach out to your online audience through your writing.
  • Blog posts - Doesn't matter if the post will go live on your blog or you're contributing to someone else's. The point is, these posts are meant to showcase your writing and your personality.
  • Reviews - You need readers to realize you want the SAME THINGS they do from a book, and from there it only stands to reason they can expect MORE of those things from YOUR book.
  • Articles - You don't always have to write with READERS in mind. You can also write to share tips with your colleagues, and if they like what they see then you won't have to ask for their help. They'll promote your books to their readers.
The 2013 Guide to Being a Rockstar Writer on the Internet (for real)
I can't guarantee that you'll be in the Top 100 of Amazon with this guide, but I can guarantee that more people will pay attention to your writing outside your books and Amazon and that is a good start. Sometimes, all you need is just one person to believe in your writing, to love your book so much that the reader will promote it to the ends of the world - and before you know it, you'll be drinking coffee with Sylvain Reynard, have dinner with Stephen King, and brainstorm with Dan Brown.
So many fabulous books end up ignored because of poor or inadequate marketing. Certainly, we don't want that to happen to your book. So instead of constantly waiting or emailing your publisher to do something more concrete for book promotions, why not go out and make things happen?
Reach out.
Write more.
Share.
You'll see the difference of what your own actions can do for your book soon eonough.

    Welcome!

    * Starting February 1, 2014, this blog will be dedicated to providing publishing tips for aspiring Filipino writers.
    * This blog is also where I share my theological views and how it affects my life and work as a writer. I consider myself an open-minded Catholic as I also have an uncle who's a Christian pastor. Luke 9:50 Jesus said to him, "Do not prevent him, for whoever is not against you is for you."
I believe with all my heart that it is our personal relationship with God that saves us and NOT RELIGION.
    * Readers, the stuff you want may be found here.
